Objective
To create a limited edition cover for one of Passion Planner’s dated 2020 planners. The limited edition Passion Planners are made in partnership with a non-profit organization, where they donate a portion of the proceeds to the NPO. One of the NPOs that Passion Planner partnered with is Pencils of Promise.
Solution
After looking through past covers, I knew I wanted to stay in line with designs Passion Planner had previously done. My initial sketches were a mixture of my personal style and desk/pencils which later transitioned into a blend of both, leaning towards a more abstract look.
I wanted to visually translate how a pencil allows us to flourish; how something so simple in our everyday life gives us endless potential to grow.
